Cinder and Miska's story reaches back over 30 years to 1989. I Called Mrs Russell, I wanted a puppy from Multi BIS/ Multi BISS Ch. Karnovanda's Care Bear. I had high hopes that this puppy would be the foundation of my show kennel. I had picked out names for a male and a female. As life would have it, I didn't get a puppy through no fault of Mrs Russell. I divorced and I went on showing the dogs I had.

In 2012 I called Mrs Russell again and got a beautiful puppy Inuk (on the pet page) and I was thrilled to finally own a Karnovanda puppy. In 2019, sadly Inuk died of a Hemangioma Sarcoma. Again I called Mrs Russell and wanted another black and white puppy. She put me on the waiting list for Graylynn x Roger. A week later I decided to find out the pedigrees of these two. I started researching and found Graylynn's mother was Ch Karnovanda's Ray Of Sunshine and grandmother was Ch Karnovanda's Sunshine Bear. I knew I was on the right track to find "Care Bear". Two more generations I found Ch Karnovanda's Care Bear. This litter would be descendants of "Care Bear".

I was so thrilled. I now have two beautiful puppies from the line I wanted 30 years ago. Cinder, black and white, inherited the name I picked out in 1989 - Cinderella Sunshine. It was a song by Paul Revere and The Raider's in 1968. It gives tribute to her grandmother and great grandmother. I didn't know it would fit perfectly all those years later. Miska, gray and white means "little bear" in the Inuit language. Her name Is Memories Bear in memory of all the decedents from the "Care Bear" line. Thank you Mrs Russell and Sarah for these beautiful, amazing babies and fullfilling a dream of mine from 1989.
